The objectives :

The objective of WINPROF is to maintain and develop the know-how of COST-76 on wind profiling radars and to organize the exchange of their data.

Planned Tasks :

to provide expertise in the domain to standardize and improve data exchange (incl. specific software) to run a network hub for data processing and quality evaluation to integrate new profilers to work on the improvement of processing algorithms to liaise with the scientific community

Organization :

WINPROF II is a three year programme starting on the 1st May 2005.

The Responsible Member for the Programme is the Met Office.

The Programme Manager is Mr Tim Oakley.
