EUMETRep
EUMETRep is an Optional EUMETNET Programme aimed at representing the combined interests of EUMETNET Members to the European Union Institutions, acting collectively with their European Meteorological Infrastructure (EMI) partners (ECMWF and EUMETSAT) and the WMO.

The three basic objectives of the Programme are:

  • Timely availability of information and analyses on EU initiatives, plans, programmes and decisions, to EUMETNET and EUMET Members, EUMETSAT and ECMWF;
  • Awareness of EU bodies on the responsabilities of EUMETNET/EUMET/ECMWF and of the relevance of capabilities of the European Meteorological Infrastructure (EMI) to the implementation of EU policies and programmes such as GMES, in accordance with directives from the EUMETNET Council;
  • Representation of EUMETNET interests to the EU, including those defined in the context of EUMET, ECMWF or the European Meteorological Infrastructure (EMI).

The EUMETRep Programme is established for a duration of four years, starting on 26 June 2006.
