Workshop "GMES, meteorology and climate monitoring"
Paris, 15-16 April 2002

The workshop was organised by EUMETNET with the support of ECMWF and EUMETSAT to consider the possible participation of meteorological entities to GMES and develop a specific action plan. The themes of GMES such as monitoring of the atmosphere or risk management overlap a number of traditional domains of activity of the meteorological services. Although GMES is still at an early stage of definition, it was felt useful for the European meteorological community to consider already its implications both from a technical and intitutional point of view.

The report of the workshop is available as a .pdf file
